WestEast was selected by the Lange Community Foundation to master plan the new 70-acre, state of the art Behavioral Health Campus in South central Kansas.
The Foundation was looking for world-class solution and a process that would engage local and state stakeholders in the process.
A trauma informed design framework will be a driving factor in the plan that will focus on utilizing a new landscape to promote healing, learning and rebuilding relationships.
The campus will include Housing, Education, Wellness, Support, Outreach and Therapy programs.
· Phase 1 of the planning process will involve a study of the community needs and the engagement of local stakeholders and service providers.
· Phase 2 will be the development of the Vison and masterplan.
· Phase 3 will solicit community feedback and refinement of the plan.
“OneRise is a state-of-the-art campus that joins the best thinking around evidence-based practice and trauma-informed design into a community that is focused on human service and healing. Beyond just a one-stop-shop for services, OneRise is a place of beauty for people to go to learn, heal, grow, and thrive. Once completed, OneRise will be the new standard for places and spaces that serve people in need."-Scott Ackerson
