Scotty's House (Brazos Valley Child Advocacy Center) is a non-profit organization that provides a child-friendly environment for victims of child abuse. The organization provides a supportive and nurturing environment in which a victim can interact with the necessary agencies.

The process involved a stakeholder workshop to identify client, staff and partner needs and goals. The design challenge was how to adapt the existing building to incorporate the necessary operational adjacencies and the Trauma Informed Design overlay to provide a safe, welcoming and healing environment.

The new facility will not only double the capacity but improve wellness, accessibility and partner engagement.
